Expect very tall, very athletic, very protective dogs. These are not dog park dogs, if you just want a big stupid, low liability k9, that's afraid of it's own shadow and get's run off by other dogs......... These dogs are not for you.
These dogs will protect and guard your and yours, by nature. All of the breeds in play, and please do some reading if you're not familiar, have a few things in common.
1. They are all huge
2. Three of the four can still make claims to being "working" dogs; meaning they might actually be good for something. ( nobody can claim The Dane is a working dog with a straight face )
3. Three of the four are fairly dominant dog aggressive breeds, by nature. The Dane again being the exception.
4. They are, without exception, famously good with children.
